Cocoa.Net, Inc. was founded in late 2001 as a US C-Corporation, located near Cleveland, OH in the suburb of Lakewood. This company was founded in order to provide large scale infrastructure consulting to medium and large corporations. The founding member, Danté Bell, serves as President and CEO of the corporation. Cocoa.Net, Inc. carries proper Liability and Errors and Ommissions policies to protect itself and it's customers.

The company has functioned mainly as a sub-contractor to Sun Microsystems' Tier 1 suppliers of Professional Services. Upon Oracle Corp's purchase of Sun Microsystems, Cocoa.Net has transitioned to supplying infrastructure consulting to Oracle's Tier 1 suppliers. Additional customers are found via direct sales channels over the internet.

Cocoa.Net has focused exclusively on Open Systems based projects. These projects include many Sun hardware platforms running Solaris SPARC and x86 operating systems. Other projects are implemented in Oracle Enterprise Linux on Sun/Oracle hardware. In addition to these types of projects, Cocoa.Net also seeks out other Linux flavored projects, include RedHat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu Linux. Cocoa.Net is a certified Ubuntu vendor.
